Dear All,

Sorry for the late update. We met in the afternoon to discuss direction of travel and also wanted to check if there were any significant announcements/changes to advice.

Due to the situation with COVID-19 changing on an almost daily basis, we have struggled to safely match business as usual with the requirements specific to the current situation. Today we decided that we will have to operate on a day to day basis to stand a chance of keeping on top of it whilst also dealing with other pressing issues unrelated to COVID-19.

From tomorrow, all appointments will be ‘on the day’ appointments. Additionally, all initial contacts with the GPs will be by telephone – to ensure that as many of you as possible can continue to socially isolate. If, and only if, you really need to be physically seen by the GP, they will assign you an appointment to come down, discussing that with you at the time.

Please, do not book our precious telephone slots just to ask advice about isolation or general COVID-19 inquiries; there is excellent information available online for you, which is exactly the same information we have. To make it easy for you, we have collated the links to the formal sources of information and advice. www.clarkstonmedical.co.uk has been updated; the red banner contains the relevant links. Please share the website with friends and family who aren’t on Facebook so that they have easy access to the information.

For up to date advice regarding COVID-19, you can still go to https://www.nhsinform.scot/…/infection…/coronavirus-covid-19 which has been updated with the new isolation guidance.

For the UK Government advice on staying at home for 7/14 days, go to https://www.gov.uk/…/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-w…

We apologise for any inconvenience. We are taking a safety-first approach during testing times. Thank you for your patience.
