This is never an easy subject, but in these times of crisis we all need to plan for the worst and hope for the best.
COVID-19, whilst affecting most people mildly, has clearly been hitting more vulnerable people much more severely. That means that some of us, or our families, might have to make a difficult decision about what kinds of care we receive during the coming weeks. These decisions are always better made with a clear head than in the heat of them moment. If you already have thought something like “I wouldn’t want put on one of those ventilators…I’d rather take my chances at home”, then it’s important that you let your loved ones, and us, know.
