We will shortly be starting to invite patients for their second COVID-19 vaccination. At present this will only be those patients who were vaccinated here in the practice on or before the 30th January. This clinic will take place on Saturday 27th March. While we will be calling to invite patients but you can also phone to book your appointment.
For anyone who had their vaccination in the practice after the 30th January we expect a further delivery soon and will run a further clinic at that point.
Like ourselves, you may have seen news articles about safety concerns, with the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine, which is the one we will use. Please be reassured by the European Medicine Acency’s report yesterday that this vaccine is both safe and effective with no evidence of an increased risk of blood clots:
